Hello, and welcome to my personal space! I hope this information can provide you with some insight into my professional philosophy of clinical practice. For over eight years I have provided clinical services in schools (K-12th), hospitals, community centers, and community mental health agencies. Working with diverse populations (men, women, children, and the elderly) has provided me the opportunity to witness the benefits that therapy can bring. I have been trained in the core concepts of modern psychotherapy (cognitive behavioral, humanistic/existential, family systems, psychoanalysis, and multiculturalism). I understand that extensive theoretical training is an essential component of therapy, yet my experience has taught me that this is only the beginning. My training and education is augmented by my cultural and historical background. I believe that professional psychotherapy must be integrated with the personal and cultural context of every individual who chooses to participate in this endeavor. I approach therapy one client at a time. By combining traditional theories of psychotherapy with the cultural/historical realities of each individual, I develop innovative treatment strategies tailored to your life circumstances. I believe that the therapeutic space is an opportunity for human beings to find the solutions that often become lost within the haze of daily experience. Within this private space the healing process can take place. In my clinical work, I seek to create a comfortable space for all my clients. By providing quality clinical services to men of all ages I hope to improve the quality of life for all people in our communities.
